Position Overview

NC State Dining is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our Pack as a Food Service Worker. Successful candidates may work in a dining hall, retail operation, food court, or restaurant setting. Essential duties include food prep, line service, restocking, cleaning, assisting with food safety, preparing beverages, processing transactions, and providing excellent customer service.

This is an hourly position with a 32-day state-mandated break after 11 months. Performance may lead to renewal or advancement into benefits-eligible roles.

Work Environment & Requirements

• Shifts from early morning to late night, including weekends. Both full- and part-time positions available.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be dependable, efficient, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and stand for long periods.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and work in hot/cold conditions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous food service experience.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
