Overview

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is hiring Food Service Workers for the Food Services Department.

Full Time - 40 hours a week, 8 hours a day working rotating shifts - both day and evening and every other weekend required.

Part Time - 24 hours a week working rotating shifts, both day and evening and every other weekend required.

(Up to $1,000 Sign-on Bonus for qualified candidates))

Responsibilities

• Deliver nutritious meals and provide excellent customer service to patients, staff, and visitors.
• Prepare and assemble food according to dietary guidelines, safety, and customer preferences.
• Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas.
• Wash dishes, work as a cashier, meet utility needs, and ensure food safety standards are upheld.
• Support various aspects of food delivery to patients.

Requirements

• Food Handlers Card required in Norfolk.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent (Experience can be substituted).
• Food Handlers Card and Food Service Certification.
• Food service experience preferred.
