Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is seeking a Full-time Food Service Worker II (Team Lead) to oversee food service operations. The role includes supervising staff, ensuring food safety, and maintaining quality standards. Candidates must possess a High School Diploma and a Food Service Handler's Card.
Acts as the lead person and supervises Food Service Workers in daily food and tray line setup, service, and cleanup/sanitation. Responsible for training new staff, conducting inventory, assigning tasks, monitoring portion control, and ensuring that service areas and equipment are sanitized and cleaned. Ensures adherence to recipes, menus, quality standards, and safe food handling guidelines.
Requirements include a Certified Food Service Handler's Card (as mandated by local Health Department). Food Handlers must be obtained upon hire for all locations for SLC positions.
