About This Position

$16.50/hour + $400 bonus

This position is located inside a jail/correctional facility.

We are seeking a Baker to join our team! The baker will follow recipes and menus, cut baked goods, perform quality checks, and use icing and glazes to enhance presentation. Responsibilities also include cleaning workstations and equipment to ensure smooth meal service.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of food items accurately and efficiently according to instructions and menus.
• Refer to Daily Prep List at each shift's start for assigned duties and complete opening and closing checklists daily.
• Comply with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen policies.
• Properly handle, store, label, and rotate all products in accordance with applicable laws.
• Maintain sufficient food levels at line stations for smooth service.

What You'll Need

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Must be at least 18 years old
• At least one year of relevant cooking experience
• Experience in a cafeteria or large-volume setting is a plus
• Knowledge of safety procedures in food service environments
