About This Position
The Food Service Supervisor is responsible for supervising inmate labor and team members assisting with food service in a correctional facility. This role involves preparing and serving a variety of food items in accordance with work instructions and menus, utilizing food preparation utensils and machines.

Essential Functions

• Supervise inmate labor and team members during food prep and service
• Prepare and assist in food preparation according to menus and recipes
• Ensure proper and sanitary storage of food
• Serve food according to schedules and policies
• Use kitchen utensils and equipment properly
• Follow food safety regulations
• Train other food service workers
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas and equipment
• Follow uniform policy
• Manage garbage and keep kitchen clean
• Ensure environment is ready for food prep and service
• Review portions and utensils for service
• Promote a safe work environment
• Physical demands include lifting, bending, pushing, and standing for long periods
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent, at least 18 years old
• Valid driver’s license
• Preferred: experience in institutional or restaurant food service
