About This Position

$16.50/hour + $400 bonus

This position is located inside a jail/correctional facility.

We are looking for a Baker to join our team! The baker will follow recipes and menus, cut baked goods, perform quality checks on ingredients and finished products, use icing and glazes to enhance item presentation, and be responsible for cleaning workstations and equipment, as well as performing other duties to ensure smooth meal service.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities

1. Accurately and efficiently prepare a variety of food items in accordance with assigned work instructions and menus.
2. Refer to Daily Prep List at the start of each shift for assigned duties and complete opening and closing checklists daily.
3. Know and comply consistently with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, kitchen rules, recipes, policies, and procedures.
4. Handle, store, label, and rotate all products properly and in accordance with applicable laws.
5. Follow instructions to properly stock and maintain sufficient food levels at line stations for smooth service.

What You'll Need

• High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• At least one (1) year of relevant cooking experience
• Prior experience in a cafeteria or large volume production facility is a plus
• Knowledge and experience in a kitchen or large cafeteria setting preferred
• Experience with safety procedures typical in food service environments
