Wage Rate

$18.00/hour

Position Overview

The Food Service Supervisor (Shift Supervisor) accurately and efficiently prepares and serves a variety of food items in accordance with assigned work instructions and menus. This position also utilizes a variety of food preparation utensils and machines in preparing food.

Core Responsibilities

• Supervise inmate labor and/or team members during food prep and service shifts
• Prepare, assist, or instruct inmate labor and team members in food preparation following standards and recipes
• Follow facility housekeeping and safety practices during meal preparation and service
• Perform other duties as needed

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; at least 18 years old
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand for long periods

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in institutional food service or restaurants (preferred but not required)
• ServSafe Food Handler certification (preferred)
• Additional $0.25/hr with certification, training provided
