The Dayton Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) is recruiting for a Food Service Worker position within Nutrition and Food Services. The primary responsibilities include working in the dish room, passing trays, portioning cold foods, and dipping hot foods.
The Food Service Worker duties include, but are not limited to:
Shifts are from 1530 to 1930, 1600 to 2000, or 1700 to 2100, with rotating days off.

Light to moderate physical effort; may include heavy work such as scrubbing large utensils, pushing carts, standing, walking, stooping, reaching, and lifting objects up to 20 pounds regularly, and over 40 pounds with assistance.
Conditions include U.S. citizenship, background check, possible probation, and compliance with vaccination and safety policies. A complete application includes resume, transcripts, and other supporting documents.
Applicants must demonstrate relevant training or experience. The rating is based on the ability to perform the duties and meeting the OPM standards. Volunteer experience is credited.
