A leading company is seeking a Food Service Worker 1 to assist with meal preparation and ensure the dietary needs of campers are met. Responsibilities include serving meals, maintaining cleanliness, and collaborating with staff. Ideal candidates should have food service experience and be able to work independently.
The Food Service Worker 1 incumbents assist with meal preparation for Camp Wilton, following the directions of the Cook responsible for the food preparation, and serve and maintain the food for consumption. Additionally, the Food Service Worker 1 assists the counselors with monitoring diets to ensure that the campers’ dietary needs are met according to their dietary plan. Following meals, the Food Service Worker 1 is responsible for cleaning the food preparation area, running the dishwasher, providing 3 meals plus snacks to campers and staff, maintaining sanitary conditions in the kitchen and dining hall, and performing other duties as assigned. The positions are temporary.
Must exercise a considerable amount of independent judgment in performing duties. The Lifeguard is expected to make decisions and apply various procedures, rules, regulations, and guidelines. Must be able to act quickly and instinctively to detect and deter activities that are potentially hazardous. Must be able to work collaboratively with staff and individuals.

Must be 18 years of age and eligible to work in New York State. Preference is given to individuals with education or experience in food service or programs for individuals with developmental disabilities. All candidates will be subject to a criminal background check.
