Pay Range

This range is provided by Air Education and Training Command. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

Base pay range: $17.00/yr - $17.70/yr

Responsibilities

The purpose of this position is to perform a variety of manual tasks in food preparation and food service within the Child and Youth Services Flight. Primary duties include:

• Assisting in meal preparation according to USAFA menu guidelines.
• Serving food family style.
• Setting up classroom food carts for meal and snack service.
• Delivering food to classrooms timely.
• Operating dishwashers, performing maintenance and cleaning.
• Cleaning kitchen equipment and areas thoroughly.
• Unloading food deliveries, managing trash, and assembling meal items.
• Portioning food, distributing substitutions for allergies, and working with kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
• Performing other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Satisfactory completion of pre-employment checks and a Child Care Tier 1 background investigation.
• Completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and ongoing health requirements.
• Ability to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Completion of required training, including Food Handlers certification.
• Current immunizations including annual influenza vaccinations.
• Meet residency requirements for CAC and network access.

Qualifications

The Area of Consideration is US Citizens and legal residents within 100 miles of Holloman AFB, NM. Applicants must meet experience requirements, which include:

• Ability to use hand tools for cleaning and operating simple machines.
• Skill in multi-step tasks with judgment in sequencing.
• Knowledge of sanitation standards for food handling and cleaning.

• Must meet all qualification, background, and eligibility requirements.
• Resided in the U.S. Territory for at least three years if applicable.
