Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Food Service Worker I to handle non-cooking tasks such as washing dishes, cold prep, salad production, serving, cashier duties, tray passing, loading carts, and general cleaning at Mercy Saint Louis. This role supports patient and guest services in a fast-paced hospital environment.

The position is on-site in Saint Louis, MO with a 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM shift; Mercy provides comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth within the hospital system.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a service-related environment.
• Must read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes and assist in food prep as needed.
• Perform cold prep and salad production.
• Assist with serving and cashier duties.
• Pass trays and load carts for transport.
• General cleaning and receiving of supplies.

• Is courteous, considerate, and cooperative when communicating with all patients, guests, team members, and hospital personnel.
• Ability to work in direct contact with a variety of foods.
