Job summary

Mercy Hospital St. Louis-Catherines Cafe is hiring a Food Service Worker I to support day-to-day non-cooking tasks, including dishwashing, cold prep, salad production, serving, and cashier duties.

The role supports patient and guest satisfaction in a fast-paced hospital setting. The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of service-related experience, with strong English reading/writing ability and reliable attendance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a service-related environment.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Courteous, cooperative communication with patients, guests and staff.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes and perform non-cooking tasks.
• Cold prep and salad production.
• Serve customers, operate cashier, pass trays.
• Load carts and perform general cleaning and receiving duties.
