Job summary

Jacksons-Food-Stores in Wilder, ID is hiring for a part-time position in our store to support fast food, deli, and beverage programs. You will greet customers, help shoppers, sample items to boost sales, and keep areas clean and well-stocked.

Cross-train as a cashier and assist with store operations as needed. The role requires flexible availability for nights, weekends, and holidays, with a wage of $15.50 per hour and opportunities to advance within the company.

Qualifications

• Requires flexible availability for a 24/7 operation (nights, weekends, holidays).
• Food handling experience is a plus.
• A Food Handler Permit may be required by local regulations.
• Strong customer-service mindset and a can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Greet every customer with a smile, thank them for their business, and invite them back.
• Serve as the go-to expert for fast food, deli, and beverage programs and promotions.
• Actively sample food items to build customer interest and drive sales.
• Keep food service equipment clean and in top condition; report issues as needed.
• Follow all sanitation, food safety, prep, and storage procedures.
• Maintain clean, stocked, and organized food, coffee, and checkout areas.
• Complete waste tracking and temperature logs as required.
• Crosstrain as a cashier and support store operations as needed.
• Take on additional duties as assigned.

Part-time 2:00pm - Midnight.

Physical Requirements

• While performing the duties of this job, you are frequently required to stand, walk, bend, and twist; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch; and talk and hear.
• Must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 65 pounds.
• Work safely in work conditions that include heat, cold, allergen, noise, and fume/chemical/odor from gasoline and cleaning chemicals.
