Job Description

We are hiring full-time Food Service Supervisors to join our passionate Food Services Team at the University of Central Florida. You will work alongside a manager to coordinate and oversee staff, collaborate with teammates, and assist where needed. This role offers growth opportunities and a chance to pursue your passions in a dynamic environment.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Produce and maintain work schedules; prepare production sheets and recipes.
  2. Direct daily activities within the food service operation.
  3. Ensure food safety and quality in accordance with policies and procedures.
  4. Store food items safely and organize storage areas.
  5. Maintain serving schedules and ensure food is served per menu specifications following policies.
  6. Maintain a sanitary environment complying with health and safety regulations.
  7. Keep accurate inventory records weekly.
  8. Prepare orders as needed to ensure proper production levels.
  9. Supervise, evaluate, and mentor employees; promote growth, efficiency, morale, and teamwork.
  10. Maintain a safe working environment.
  11. Perform equipment maintenance logs and recommend replacements.
  12. Complete food safety and temperature logs with corrective actions when necessary.
  13. Assist with catering events and occasional night/weekend work.
  14. Participate in staff meetings and communicate effectively with team members.
  15. Perform cashier duties if required.
  16. Promote positive public relations.

Note: Job duties may evolve, and employees may be assigned additional responsibilities as needed by management.

Qualifications
  • Ability to read, write, and understand verbal instructions.
  • Complete a sanitation course before or during the first year.
  • Knowledge of operating cost-effective food service programs.
  • Basic arithmetic skills.
  • Maintain emotional control under stress.
  • Resolve interpersonal issues effectively.
