Qualifications

• Experience supervising a food-service team is preferred.

• Knowledge of sanitation and safety procedures in a kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coordinate and schedule the activities of staff who prepare, portion and serve food.
• Establish methods to meet work schedules.
• Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage.
• Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures.
• Estimate and order ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation.
• Ensure product and packaging are merchandised and stocked.
• Provide orientation and monitors new team members.
• Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
• May participate in selection of food service staff and assist in developing policies, procedures and budgets.
