Job summary

Trinity Services Group is seeking a Food Service Supervisor in a correctional facility to oversee inmate labor and kitchen staff, ensuring meals are prepared to plan and served on schedule. The role requires strong leadership, adherence to food safety regulations, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates may have prior institutional food service experience, a valid driver's license, and a commitment to training others while maintaining high sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent, and you must be at least 18 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Prior institutional food service experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise inmate labor and/or team members in the kitchen during food prep and food service shifts.
• Prepare, assist, or instruct inmates and team members in the preparation of quality foods according to planned menus and recipes.
• Ensure all food is stored properly and in a sanitary manner.
• Serve food during planned meal schedules according to department policies.
• Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook and serve food according to recipes and nutritional needs.
• Follow all food safety regulations pertaining to sanitation, handling and storage.
• Train other food service workers.
• Maintain a clean work area and equipment, including refrigerators, freezers and dishwashing.
• Keep up with garbage and ensure kitchen is clean for service.
