Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED and be at least 18 years old.
• Prior institutional food service or restaurant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee inmate labor and kitchen staff during food prep and service shifts.
• Serve meals according to planned schedules and department procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils and equipment to prepare and portion food.
• Train other food service workers and promote safe, healthy work practices.
• Report to the Food Service Director and ensure on-site operation within a jail/correctional facility.
