Pay: $41,523.36

Examples of Work
  1. Coordinate a team responsible for preparing large-scale meals.
  2. Supervise the safe use, sanitization, and maintenance of cooking and food storage equipment, reporting issues as needed.
  3. Manage schedules, provide supervision, conduct performance reviews, and facilitate professional development conversations.
  4. Coordinate meal planning with dietary managers.
  5. Oversee adjustments in production quantities and ensure proper meal preparation and presentation according to medical restrictions.
  6. Prepare meals and perform skilled cooking tasks.
  7. Lift, carry, and transfer heavy food products.
Qualifications

Must demonstrate the following, which may be obtained through work experience in the dietary field or an associate’s degree in a related program:

  • 4 years of food service experience.
  • Experience supervising and instructing staff in food preparation, menu planning, and coordination.
  • Experience in a long-term care facility is desirable.
  • Must be free of communicable diseases as per state and local requirements during the stage of communicability.

(Lack of post-secondary education will not be the sole basis for denying consideration.)
