Job summary

McHenry Community Consolidated School District 15 is seeking a Substitute Food Service worker. Hours are as needed Monday through Friday, with duties including preparing daily menus, inventory, and production records. Must have a High School Diploma, food sanitation certification (helpful), and strong math and reading skills. Safe food handling per HACCP required.

Qualifications

• Maintain sanitation and safety according to HACCP principles and local health departments.

Hours as needed Monday through Friday

School: District

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Food Sanitation Certification required (will help obtain) and previous experience in large scale food preparation preferred;
• Flexibility and ability to work in a fast paced environment, often with strict deadlines;
• Ability to read, write, follow recipes and calculate quantities using simple math along with knowledge of operating a personal computer and related software;
• Capability to prepare daily food menu along with completing inventory, production records and daily sheets;
• Ability to communicate respectfully to staff, children and coworkers while working effectively as a member of a team;
• Maintain the highest standard of sanitation and safety according to HACCP principles, the state of Illinois and Local Health Departments;

Salary: $16.00/hour
