Job summary

MCHENRY COMMUNITY CONSOLIDATED SCHOOL DISTRICT 15 is seeking a Food Service staff member for Parkland Middle School. You will assist in daily meal preparation, inventory, and compliance with HACCP sanitation standards.

Starting wage is $16.50 per hour with a 174-day terms of employment. This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a food sanitation certification, with prior large-scale food prep experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Food Sanitation Certification required (will help obtain) and previous experience in large scale food preparation preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.

Responsibilities

• Flexibility and ability to work in a fast paced environment, often with strict deadlines.
• Read, write, follow recipes and calculate quantities using simple math; operate a PC and related software.
• Prepare daily food menu and complete inventory, production records and daily sheets.
• Communicate respectfully to staff, children and coworkers, and work effectively as a team.
• Maintain the highest standard of sanitation and safety according to HACCP principles, the state of Illinois and Local Health Departments.
