Job summary

Holy Family Institute in Emsworth seeks a Food Service Manager to oversee the school nutrition program operations and the FSMC contract. Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree required; concentration in management, hospitality, business, or food/nutrition preferred.
  • Four years’ experience managing food service in a school environment.
  • Must have Act 33/34 and FBI clearances and a valid PA driver’s license.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Must maintain current Safe Serve Certification.

Hours: Salaried - Exempt

HFI MISSION DUTIES:

Holy Family Institute (HFI) is a 125-year-old Catholic organization with an impeccable history of serving children and families in the Pittsburgh Region. We are one of Pittsburgh’s largest social service organizations operating 15 programs in three counties. We are an independent organization guided by Catholic Social Teachings and serving people of all faiths and backgrounds.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversee Food Service Management Company (FSMC) operations, ensuring contract compliance and high-quality service.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local school nutrition program requirements.

  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and exemplary customer service.
  • Must maintain up-to-date Safe Serve Certification.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
