Job summary

Holy Family Institute in Emsworth seeks a Food Service Manager to oversee the school nutrition program operations and the FSMC contract. You will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements, manage applications, certifications, and reporting, and maintain student eligibility and meal records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree required; concentration in management, hospitality, business, or food/nutrition preferred.
• Four years’ experience managing food service in a school environment.
• Must have Act 33/34 and FBI clearances and a valid PA driver’s license.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines under pressure.
• Must maintain current Safe Serve Certification.

Responsibilities

• Oversee FSMC operations, ensuring contract compliance and high-quality service.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local school nutrition program requirements.
• Manage program applications, certifications, claims, and reporting through PEARS and other required systems.
• Maintain accurate student eligibility and meal program records.
• Review invoices, monitor budgets, and prepare annual financial reports.
• Conduct site visits and audits for food safety and compliance.
• Coordinate staff training and regulatory compliance activities.
• Manage FSMC contract renewals, procurements, and bid processes.
• Promote student engagement and satisfaction through feedback and program improvement.
• Collaborate with school leadership and service providers across locations.
