Job summary

Holy Family Institute is seeking a Development Coordinator to advance fundraising efforts through grant management, donor communications, and event coordination. The role supports grant applications, donor stewardship, and development communications while overseeing project timelines and donor relationships.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 2–4 years of nonprofit fundraising or communications experience, with strong writing and project management skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, nonprofit management or related field and 2–4 years nonprofit fundraising experience.
  • Experience writing grants, donor communications, and managing multiple projects with deadlines.
  • Knowledge of fundraising databases, email marketing tools, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with grant research, proposal writing, reporting, deadline tracking, and funder documentation.
  • Support annual giving campaigns, direct mail appeals, online fundraising, donor recognition and stewardship, and acknowledgment communications.
  • Coordinate fundraising events, sponsorship fulfillment, registrations, materials, and event logistics.
  • Develop and distribute fundraising communications, including email campaigns, social media, newsletters, and website updates.
  • Assist with maintaining donor records, processing gifts, and generating reports.

Position Overview

The Development Coordinator supports Holy Family Institute’s fundraising efforts through grant management, donor communications, event coordination, and administrative support. This role helps drive fundraising success by managing projects, maintaining donor relationships, supporting grant applications, coordinating events, and overseeing development communications.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Assist with grant research, proposal writing, reporting, deadline tracking, and funder documentation.
  • Support annual giving campaigns, direct mail appeals, online fundraising initiatives, donor recognition and stewardship, and acknowledgment communications.
  • Coordinate fundraising events, sponsorship fulfillment, registrations, promotional materials, and event logistics.
  • Develop and distribute fundraising communications, including email campaigns, social media content, newsletters, and website updates.
  • Assist with maintaining donor records, processing gifts, and generating reports.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, nonprofit management, public administration, English, or a related field preferred.
  • 2-4 years of experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, grant writing, marketing, or a related area.
  • Experience writing grants, donor communications, and managing multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of fundraising databases (Raiser’s Edge preferred), email marketing platforms, and Microsoft Office.
  • Commitment to the organization’s mission and values.
  • Must possess Act 33/34 and FBI clearances, a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license, and be at least 21 years of age.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local requirements.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and transport event materials weighing up to 25 pounds as needed.
  • Availability to attend occasional evening and weekend fundraising events.
  • Ability to perform sedentary work, including extended periods of computer and desk work.
