Job summary

CrossAmerica Partners is seeking a Food Service Manager in Training (MIT) for Subway operations. The MIT will receive comprehensive training to manage food service in a convenience-store setting and will work toward becoming a Food Service Manager. $21.00 per hour.

The role emphasizes leadership, customer service, food safety, inventory management, and operational procedures, with opportunities for growth within the food service and retail industry.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; hospitality, business or culinary arts education is a plus.
• Prior experience in food service, kitchen operations, or customer service is preferred; supervisory or leadership experience is required.
• Interest in pursuing a career in food service management with a willingness to grow in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a structured MIT training program focused on leadership, customer service, food safety, inventory management and procedures.
• Assist in supervising kitchen staff and providing directions on food preparation, cleanliness and efficiency.
• Learn to manage day-to-day food service operations including kitchen workflows, scheduling, food ordering and quality control.
• Assist in managing inventory levels, including placing orders, receiving deliveries, and performing stock rotation.
• Support in creating a welcoming customer environment and ensuring timely food service.
