Orange County Government in Orlando, Florida is seeking a dedicated Food Service Worker to assist in preparing and serving meals for patients and staff, in accordance with dietary guidelines and safety standards.

Responsibilities include inventorying supplies, setting up serving lines, cooking and baking from menus, and maintaining cleanliness in kitchen areas, with supervision provided by the Food Service Supervisor.

Qualifications

• One month of experience in institutional cooking.
• Knowledge of sanitation and personal hygiene standards for food prep and service.
• Ability to work under high temperature conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assists in inventorying food supplies and maintaining lists to be purchased.
• Sets up serving line and assists in serving prepared food.
• Cooks and bakes foods from menus for regular and special diets.
• Assists in cleaning kitchen equipment and inspects work areas for cleanliness.
• Assists in off-shift operations and supports the Food Service Supervisor.
