Orange County Public Schools is seeking an entry-level Food Service Worker to support school nutrition programs. You will participate in food preparation, service, and clean up, ensuring meals are prepared safely and served promptly.

You will work with lunchroom staff to follow menus, operate kitchen equipment, and maintain hygiene and safety standards. The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and the ability to adapt to busy school cafeteria schedules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to safely prepare and serve food items.
• Willingness to meet IPCS screening and safety requirements.

Responsabilités

• Respond to internal and external customers in a timely, courteous manner.
• Perform food preparation, service and clean up in one or more areas (snack bar, salad bar, cashiering, etc.).
• Set up serving lines, stock utensils, review menus and retrieve stock.
• Operate food preparation equipment and maintain temperatures according to standards.
• Adhere to district policies and PPE requirements and maintain accurate records as needed.
