Position Title:

Kitchen Manager

Reports to:

Food Service Operations Manager(s) and Executive Chef

Responsibilities
  1. Perform SSA EXTRA Guest Service steps to ensure a memorable experience for every guest and client.
  2. Ensure restaurant is adequately prepped and staffed (BOH) for daily operation.
  3. Oversee kitchen duties ensuring quick service, food safety, quality, availability, merchandising, and guest service standards are met and excelled.
  4. Oversee safety logs including food temperatures, rotation, and waste.
  5. Ensure proper uniform, hygiene, handwashing, and glove use among staff.
  6. Support SSA safety training, especially knife handling skills, ensuring proper use of knives and slicers.
  7. Create daily prep and items lists, delegating tasks as necessary.
  8. Support smooth operation by filling in as needed and assisting team members.
  9. Maintain routine cleaning checklists and ongoing projects or menu planning.
  10. Assign duties, coach employees, and oversee guest interactions.
  11. Respond promptly to guest and client feedback, reporting issues to the operations manager.
  12. Oversee personnel duties including training, performance reviews, and coaching.
  13. Manage employee attendance, payroll discrepancies, and break schedules.
  14. Inspect equipment and perform routine maintenance and cleaning.
  15. Assist team in completing tasks efficiently and timely.
  16. Communicate issues with daily service or quality to the Regional Executive Chef and Food Service Operations Manager.
  17. Work with restaurant supervisors to ensure standards are met.
  18. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  19. Perform other necessary tasks.
  20. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  21. Uphold company policies and procedures.
Job Requirements

  4. Ability to multitask, plan, and organize effectively.
  5. Flexibility in a fast-paced environment.

  7. Basic computer skills.
  8. Physical ability to stand for long periods and handle boxes (10-35 lbs).
  9. Availability to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Previous Experience
  • At least three years of supervisory experience.
