Job summary

Core-Mark International in Omaha, NE, is seeking a Food Service Support Representative. You will develop and promote foodservice initiatives by partnering with the local sales team and customers, educating current and prospective clients on entering or expanding in foodservice.

You will lead brand discussions with knowledge and enthusiasm. A successful candidate will demonstrate knowledge of food service trends and practices, and contribute to delivering quality service to vendors and customers.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years working experience in foodservice industry through food brokerage, food equipment sales, and/or chef background.
• Minimum of 2 years of customer-facing sales experience and project management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the implementation of all new and existing food programs, including training demonstrations, menu/recipe development, documentation processing, and equipment needs.
• In-field training and consultation with strategic accounts regarding foodservice growth strategies, product information, and merchandising.
• Maintaining knowledge of food service products, practices, and trends.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers, customers, and internal partners.
• Conduct weekly field visits with suppliers and sales team to identify opportunities and present Food Service Programs.
• Participate at Regional Trade Shows for Food Related Initiatives.
• Manage food and beverage demonstrations on-site and off-site, including sample kits.
• Present in sales meetings to support CoreMark’s growth objectives.
