Job summary

Momentous Healthcare in Richfield Township, OH seeks a Food Service Director to lead the dietary staff, plan meals, and ensure safe, sanitary operations in line with federal, state, and local regulations.

You will collaborate with the facility dietitian to meet residents' nutritional needs, manage supplies and budgets, and supervise tray-line preparation to support timely meals and snacks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Food service experience in long-term care setting.
• CMD & ServSafe certification required.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Plans, directs and supervises the activities of the dietary staff

• Operates the dietary department in a safe and sanitary manner by ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations and following established policies and procedures.

• Plans meals far enough ahead to minimize the need for food substations.

• Works closely with facility dietitian to ensure meals meet the nutritional needs of the Residents.

• Ensures food supplies are appropriate and places orders when necessary.

• Oversees food tray line to ensure trays are prepared according to diet cards in an efficient manner to meet scheduled meal and snack times.

• Responsible for operating the Dietary Department within budgetary guidelines and limitations.

• Follow established safety precautions when preforming tasks and using equipment and supplies

Qualifications:

• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent

• Food Service experience in long-term care setting

• CMD & ServSafe certification

• Strong knowledge of large scale & therapeutic food prep

• Leadership and supervisory skills

• Excellent communication skills

• Must be able to work as a team member
