Job summary

Tidewell Hospice, part of Empath Health, is seeking a Food Service Coordinator responsible for the overall management and daily operation of dietary services to Care Centers.

Join a mission-driven team providing Full Life Care across Florida with a focus on compassionate, patient-centered meals and staff leadership. Knowledge of nutrition and collaboration with Registered Dietitians is valued.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training.
• Certified chef or food/dietary manager with credentials from a certified program.
• Restaurant or health care facility work preferred.
• Management and supervisory experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service focused approach at all times.

Responsibilities

• Participates in daily preparation and delivery of meals served.
• Develops teamwork and alignment with Care Centers/agency goals and vision.
• Involves patients, families and staff in menu development with RD assistance.
• Annually reviews dietary policies and procedures and recommends changes.
• Monitors quality assurance, OSHA, and infection control compliance.
• Supervises and directs duties of all dietary staff with performance assessment.

Tidewell Hospice , a part of Empath Health is seeking a Food Service Coordinator responsible for the overall management and daily operation of dietary services to the Care Centers.

What you’ll Do

• Participates in the daily preparation and delivery of meals served.
• Responsible for developing teamwork and commitment to ¬ Care Centers/agency goals and vision.
• Creatively involves patients, families and staff and volunteers in the development of client-centered menus/meal preparation and delivery systems, with assistance from RD.
• Annually reviews policies and procedures of the Dietary Services Department and recommends changes as appropriate to the Care Center Managers and Program Director.
• Monitors quality assurance, OSHA, and infection control compliance for the Dietary Services Department.
• Supervises, schedules and directs duties of all personnel of the Dietary Services Department. Screens, selects, and supports individual performance measures for all dietary staff in conjunction with the Managers and in accordance with established policy and procedure.

What You’ll Need

• Education and/or Experience: Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certifications (i.e. CPR): Certified chef or food/dietary manager with credentials/training from a certified program.
• Restaurant or health care facility work preferred.
• Management and supervisory experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service focused approach at all times.
