Overview

Food Service Associates provide service to all Break Time food service customers, following high standards for food preparation, cleanliness, and all company policies and procedures to ensure proper and efficient operation during their shift. They are energetic individuals who believe it only takes a moment to make your day better.

Responsibilities

As a Break Time Food Service Associate, a typical day might include the following:

• Working with customers: Greet and thank each customer consistently and courteously, providing fast and friendly service. Handle complaints promptly and conduct transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Merchandising and sales: Promote sales through suggestive selling techniques.
• Food preparation: Follow guidelines, recipes, and job aids for all food service tasks. Regularly inspect products for correct temperature, cleanliness, rotation, portioning, and pricing.
• Maintaining a clean environment: Sanitize and maintain equipment, dishes, and the food service area. Follow standards for quality, service, cleanliness, food safety, and proper storage. Clean the store when time permits.
• Communication: Maintain professional and timely communication with customers, vendors, colleagues, and management regarding store operations.
• Working closely with management: Complete training programs and assist in training new employees on policies and procedures.
• Teamwork: Collaborate with team members to adhere to regulations and store operations.
• Working with technology: Use store technology, perform calculations for transactions, shift reports, and inventory counts.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Willingness to attend food safety training and obtain necessary certifications.
• Physical ability to move and position products in cold environments and handle inventory weighing up to 50 pounds.

• Willingness to ascend ladders occasionally.
• Ability to perform duties accurately with minimal supervision.
