Overview

Food Service Associates provide service to all Break Time food service customers, maintaining high standards for food preparation, cleanliness, and adherence to company policies to ensure efficient operation during their shift. They are energetic individuals committed to making each day better for customers and colleagues alike.

Responsibilities

  • Customer Service: Greet and thank customers courteously, provide fast and friendly service, handle complaints promptly, and process transactions accurately.
  • Merchandising and Sales: Promote products through suggestive selling techniques.
  • Food Preparation: Follow recipes and guidelines for food prep, inspect products for quality, temperature, and safety, and ensure proper storage and rotation.
  • Cleanliness and Sanitation: Maintain cleanliness of equipment and food areas, sanitize surfaces, and ensure compliance with food safety standards.
  • Communication: Maintain professional communication with customers, vendors, and team members regarding store operations.
  • Teamwork and Training: Collaborate with team members, complete training programs, and assist in training new staff.
  • Technology Use: Operate store systems, perform calculations, and complete reports accurately.
  • Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Friendly, enthusiastic, and customer-oriented personality.
  • Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Willingness to complete food safety training and obtain necessary certifications.
  • Physical ability to handle cold environments and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to perform basic math and operate computers or related equipment.
  • Willingness to use ladders occasionally and perform duties with minimal supervision.

All applicants must be at least 18 years old, authorized to work in the U.S., and pass pre-employment screenings. Employees are expected to follow policies, schedules, and safety procedures.
