Job summary

Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis is seeking a Food Service Associate to provide meals to patients and visitors. This 20-hour weekly role features rotating evenings (4p-8p) and occasional holidays, with pay between $17.79 and $29.25 per hour.

You will slice meats, assemble foods, serve patient meals and assist in the cafeteria, dish room, and sanitation duties while upholding CARES values and hospital standards. English communication and cash register operations are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate in English to understand and respond to basic verbal and written instructions.
• Operate cash registers and make change.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble foods including salads, sandwiches, and fruits.
• Serve patient meals and deliver trays; stock the floor kitchenette.

• Wash, rinse, and sanitize pots, pans, floors, and equipment.

Food Service Associate (260909-50002077)

Purpose of Position

To provide meal services to all visitors and patients of Cape Cod Hospital.

Description

• Slices meats and cheeses; prepares and assembles foods including but not limited to fruits, salad type vegetables, salad mixes (veg. & meat), between meal nourishments, tube feedings, gelatins, salads, sandwiches, juices, coffee for the Nutrition & Food Service facilities.
• Services patient meals including between meal snacks, tube feedings, floor kitchenette stock and sanitation, delivering patient meals, collecting patient trays from patient floors, preparing and assembling cold foods, assembling patient trays and hot and cold beverages.
• Services the cafeteria including all aspects of the service areas including grill and cashiering.
• Works in the dish room.
• Washes, rinses and sanitizes pots and pans, equipment, floors, walls, and storage areas.
• Removal of trash, garbage, cardboard, milk & bread crates.
• Delivers and picks up patient meal trays for Cape Psych Center.
• Performs all duties in compliance with hospital, local and regulatory standards.
• Performs other work related duties and activities as assigned or requested.
