Food Service Associate – Cape Cod Healthcare

Location: Massachusetts – Hyannis, Cape Cod Hospital. 36 hours per week, rotating days/eve shifts, and occasional holidays.
Hourly pay: $15.92 (approximately $17–$19.50/hr).

Purpose of Position

To provide meal services to all visitors and patients of Cape Cod Hospital.

Responsibilities

• Slices meats and cheeses; prepares and assembles foods including fruits, salad-type vegetables, salad mixes (veg & meat), between-meal nourishments, tube feedings, gelatins, salads, sandwiches, juices, coffee for the Nutrition & Food Service facilities.
• Serves patient meals including between-meal snacks, tube feedings, floor kitchenette stock and sanitation, delivers patient meals, collects patient trays from patient floors, prepares and assembles cold foods, assembles patient trays and hot & cold beverages.
• Serves the cafeteria including all aspects of service areas including grill and cashiering.
• Works in the dish room.
• Washes, rinses and sanitizes pots and pans, equipment, floors, walls, and storage areas.
• Removes trash, garbage, cardboard, milk & bread crates.
• Delivers & picks up patient meal trays for Cape Psych Center.
• Performs all duties in compliance with hospital, local and regulatory standards.
• Performs other work‑related duties and activities as assigned or requested.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate in English to understand and respond to basic verbal and written instruction.
• Operates cash registers with ability to make change.
