Guest Services in Washington, DC is seeking an Assistant Food Service Manager to assist in unit operations, floor management, and service delivery. You will support the General Manager and lead staff to maintain high standards in food, beverage, equipment, and overall guest experience.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED (Bachelor's preferred), 1–2 years of related management experience, and food safety certification as a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Bachelor's or Business Degree preferred.
• At least 1-2 years of experience in related management required.
• Food Safety Certified a plus.
• Demonstrated talent for interacting with a wide variety of people.
• Ability to effectively organize and coordinate multiple priorities; ability to work well as a team leader; ability to problem solve.
• Strong customer service abilities; actively looks for ways to assist customers and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Assist in overall management of unit operations, including planning and developing daily operations; forecasting and analyzing sales, labor, and profit; scheduling, supervising, and participating in duties.
• Assist in recruiting, supervising, training, scheduling, and directing staff.
• Maintain accounting records, daily reporting, and cash control; assist in managing P&L.
• Respond to customer inquiries and resolve complaints.
• Maintain safe facility environment including equipment, food handling, sanitation and hygiene.
