ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist cook in preparing desserts, snacks, and meals for patients.
  • Carry trays to patients and serve beverages.
  • Clean and set up dining and kitchen areas, including washing dishes and cleaning equipment.
  • Prepare between-meal nourishments and follow dietary guidelines.
  • Operate kitchen equipment and maintain proper storage and sanitation standards.
  • Follow infection control policies and safety procedures.
  • Record temperatures, check stock levels, and ensure proper storage of food and supplies.
  • Perform other duties to support the kitchen and dining services as needed.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Effective communication with team members, patients, and visitors.
  • Professional and caring demeanor.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

None.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, interpret safety and operational instructions, and communicate effectively.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Basic arithmetic skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to follow instructions and solve routine problems.

COMPUTER APPLICATION SKILLS

Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Refer to minimum qualifications.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Regularly sit, talk, hear, walk, handle objects, and reach. Occasionally stand. Visual acuity required.
