Job summary

Select Medical in Miami is seeking a part-time dietary service worker to assist in the inpatient rehabilitation hospital’s kitchen and patient meals. You will prepare meals, operate kitchen equipment, and ensure safe handling and accuracy in patient dietary orders.

You will collaborate with the culinary team, maintain HACCP standards, and help with stocking, serving, and daily cash handling as needed. 18+ and Food Handler certification required; healthcare/restaurant experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Food Handlers Card required.
• Preferred: Certification in Sanitation/Safe Food Handling.
• Healthcare/restaurant experience preferred.
• Commitment to customer service.
• Willingness to perform routine tasks and work with the culinary team and leaders.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality food in a timely and efficient manner.
• Operate equipment and perform related duties in a safe manner.
• Complete all procedures scheduled during the shift without compromising quality.
• Maintain compliance with sanitation, infection control, risk management guidelines and HACCP plan.
• Assist patients in menu selections, accommodating allergies, sensitivities, and cultural/religious preferences.
• Update diet changes in the patient diet management system and distribute reports and meal tickets.
• Stock nourishment rooms and assist with kitchen stocking.
• Perform cafeteria duties including serving, grilling, stocking, cleaning and cash handling.

Responsibilities

• Update and validate diet changes in the patient diet management system, prints and distributes reports, tallies, menus and meal tickets.
• Stock nourishment rooms and assist with kitchen stocking
• Perform cafeteria duties as assigned including serving, grilling, stocking, cleaning and cash handling.
