Job summary

Tulsa Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a dedicated cook to assist with food preparation and service for patients, employees, and events. You will help ensure meals are tasty, served at the right temperatures, and presented nicely while maintaining a clean, safe kitchen environment.

Responsibilities include delivering meals, restocking items, and complying with food safety standards; prior cook experience is welcome but not required. Competitive wages and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience as Prep Cook or Cook preferred, but not required.
• Ability to understand and execute recipes and instructions in detail.
• Food safety certifications as required by jurisdiction. (ServSafe)
• Work alongside Cooking staff to prep for daily meal service.

Job description

Position Summary:

Assists with preparation and service of food using proper food handling and food safety techniques for patients, employees and special events, resulting in foods that taste good, are served at the proper temperature, and in an attractive manner in accordance with established standards. Maintains a clean and safe working environment in accordance with established standards. Other duties include: Taking out the trash, Ensuring the availability of clean dishes, utensils, and glassware, delivering food to the patient floors, restocking items, cleaning appliances and machines. sweeping and mopping floors. Document temperature readings of the dish machine during each shift.

Pay:

Rate of pay is based on years of experience and qualifications.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience as a Prep Cook or Cook preferred, but not required.

Desired Qualifications:
