Job description

Position Summary

Assists with preparation and service of food using proper food handling and food safety techniques for patients, employees and special events, ensuring foods taste good, are served at the proper temperature, and presented attractively in accordance with established standards.

Maintains a clean and safe working environment in accordance with established standards. Additional duties include taking out the trash, ensuring the availability of clean dishes, utensils, and glassware, delivering food to patient floors, restocking items, cleaning appliances and machines, sweeping and mopping floors, and documenting temperature readings of the dish machine during each shift.

Pay: Rate of pay is based on years of experience and qualifications.

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience as a Prep Cook or Cook preferred, but not required.
• Ability to understand and execute recipes and instructions in detail.
• Food safety certifications as required by jurisdiction (ServSafe).
• Work alongside cooking staff to prep for daily meal service.
• Experience in healthcare foodservice desired.
