Job summary

Laredo Country Club's Paloma Restaurant is hiring a Food Server to deliver an elevated dining experience for members and guests.

As a server you will greet guests, learn preferences, guide beverage selections, coordinate with kitchen, and ensure accurate timing for each course, while maintaining a polished service area.

This role requires at least 2 years of restaurant experience, Food Handler and TABC certifications, and a guest-focused, professional attitude.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of restaurant or dining service experience.
• Knowledge of menu, beverage, and wine is preferred.
• Ability to anticipate guest needs and enhance the dining experience.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

You'll create a seamless, elevated dining experience from the moment a member sits down to the moment they leave.

Deliver Exceptional Hospitality

• Greet and acknowledge members and guests with warmth
• Learn members' names and preferences to personalize service
• Ensure every interaction reflects professionalism and genuine care

Master the Menu & Guide the Experience

• Be fully knowledgeable about the menu, beverage offerings, and wine list
• Explain dishes, answer questions, and make thoughtful recommendations
• Demonstrate strong wine and spirits knowledge

Execute Service With Precision

• Time the service of each course with confidence and accuracy
• Coordinate seamlessly with the kitchen and service team
• Maintain a polished, efficient, and organized section

Required experience & skills:

• At least 2 years of restaurant or dining service experience
• Menu, beverage, and wine knowledge
• Ability to anticipate needs and elevate the guest experience

Certifications

• Food Handler Safety Certification
• TABC Certification
• Must be of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages

Physical Requirements

You're comfortable with:

• Standing and walking for long periods
• Bending, stretching, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 50 lbs (Push, pull, or lift up to 50 pounds.)
• Working in warm, busy, and noisy environment
