Role Description

The Food Server role is a part-time or full-time, on-site position based at Barrels & Boards in Raynham, MA. In this role, the Food Server greets guests, presents menus, answers questions about food and beverages, and provides recommendations when requested. The Food Server takes orders accurately, coordinates with the kitchen and bar, and delivers food and drinks promptly while checking in to ensure guest satisfaction. Daily responsibilities also include setting and clearing tables, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the dining area, processing payments, and following all food safety and hygiene standards. The Food Server collaborates with team members to support smooth operations and uphold the restaurant’s high service standards.

Qualifications

• Strong customer-focused mindset with proven Customer Service skills and the ability to create a welcoming guest experience.
• Knowledge of Food & Beverage offerings and basic Food Service practices, including menu familiarity and safe handling of food and drinks.
• Effective Communication skills to interact clearly and professionally with guests, kitchen staff, and other team members.
• Basic Cooking awareness or interest is helpful for understanding menu items and accurately describing dishes to guests.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, stand for extended periods, and manage multiple tables and tasks efficiently.
• Previous experience in restaurant service or hospitality is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• Reliable attendance, punctuality, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
