Job summary

King’s Hawaiian Bakery West, Inc is seeking a Food Safety Technician 2 to support sanitation and GMP/SQF compliance in a high‑volume manufacturing environment. You will perform routine and deep sanitation of equipment and production areas, ensuring hygienic conditions and safety for employees.

The role requires at least 1 year of sanitation experience in food manufacturing, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to read procedures in English. Occasional lifting up to 45 lbs is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of sanitation/food production experience required.
• Knowledge of GMP and SQF required.
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Must read procedures in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and deep sanitation of equipment and production areas.
• Disassemble, clean, sanitize, and reassemble bakery production equipment.
• Clean and maintain facility areas including production floors, aisles, offices, laboratories, breakrooms, and restrooms.
• Inspect sanitation work for completeness and ensure areas meet sanitation and food safety standards.
• Report sanitation issues, safety concerns, or potential risks to supervisor or QA team promptly.
• Follow all PPE, chemical handling, and hazard reporting policies.
• Support SQF and food safety programs by adhering to sanitation procedures and training.
• Assist with waste disposal, chemical management, and sanitation supply handling.
• Perform other duties as required within the scope of the role.
