Job summary

Girard's Foodservice Dressings is seeking a full-time sanitation assistant to support the Sanitation Supervisor in coordinating food safety and sanitation programs. The role involves cleaning and sanitizing equipment and facilities, following SOPs and GMPs, and maintaining proper records.

The position requires English proficiency, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, basic computer skills, and the ability to work in a team as well as independently with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Read, write, speak English.
• Must be able to perform occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Basic computer skills.
• Collaborate and communicate with team members (operators/mixers/supervisor) and work effectively in a team environment.
• Work independently with minimum supervision while prioritizing workloads to meet deadlines.
• Detail oriented work habits.
• Drive forklift.
• Must be able to use basic tools.
• Follow Safety and GMP rules.
• Follow uniform and PPE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize equipment, walls, floors using water, chemicals and detergents.
• Wash down equipment and floors.
• Perform COP and CIP.
• Disassemble and reassemble equipment for sanitation.
• Maintain sanitation records and registrations.
• Perform titration on chemical use.
• Ensure SOPs, GMPs, and safety rules are followed.
• Clean other areas as needed to ensure food safety and quality.
• Perform lock-out / tag-out on equipment.
• Remove trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
