Job summary

Garner Foods is seeking a dependable Sanitation Technician to support safe, sanitary production. This role cleans, sanitizes, inspects, and prepares equipment and areas per procedures and sanitation schedules.

The position supports employee safety, food safety, product integrity, and production readiness, requiring a high school diploma and ability to work in a wet, non-climate-controlled environment, with overtime on occasion.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, and follow procedures.
• Ability to complete sanitation records accurately.
• Ability to work in a wet, non-climate-controlled environment.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to wear PPE and complete safety training.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize production equipment, processing areas, tanks, pipelines, and other areas.
• Disassemble, clean, sanitize, inspect, and reassemble equipment as required.
• Operate sanitation systems and equipment safely and effectively.
• Complete sanitation tasks daily, weekly, monthly, and as directed.
• Support pre-operational readiness by ensuring areas are cleaned and ready.
• Complete sanitation records, logs, and inspection forms accurately.
• Identify and report sanitation concerns or safety issues.
• Follow GMP, SQF, HACCP, PPE, LOTO, Hazard Communication, and cleanliness policies.
