Job summary

Girard's Foodservice Dressings is seeking an hourly Sanitation Assistant reporting to the Sanitation Supervisor. You will support coordinating activities related to food safety and sanitation programs, handle cleaning tasks, and assist on packaging lines when needed.

The role requires at least 1 year of related experience, a high school diploma, and knowledge of safety regulations, with English communication skills. This is a full-time position in Illinois with standard sanitation procedures.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of related sanitation or manufacturing experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
• Lock-out Tag-out experience required.
• Verbal and written English communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Work with chemicals and detergents for the purpose of cleaning and sanitizing equipment, walls, floors, ceilings, and other areas as needed
• Wash down equipment and floors
• Ensure that SOP’s, GMP’s, and safety rules are strictly followed
• May be required to clean other primary areas as needed to ensure food safety and quality
• Strictly follow the established company sanitation procedures
• Work closely with personnel in other departments to resolve sanitation and food safety issues
• Duties must be performed within the established timeframe
• Worker might be asked to help in the packaging lines from time to time.
