NYU Langone Health is seeking a Supervisor-Food & Nutr-Sanitation to oversee sanitation and safety functions. The role ensures compliance with Joint Commission, and federal, state, and local regulations while optimizing labor and supply use.

The candidate will conduct HACCP inspections, develop sanitation programs, train staff, and coordinate with vendors to maintain high cleanliness standards across kitchen and food service areas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in hygiene or sanitation management required.
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience in a comparable function.
• ServSafe certification within 6 months of hire.
• NYC Department of Health Qualifying Certificate in Food Protection within 6 months of hire.
• Strong IT skills including MS Office and internet research.

Responsabilités

• Demonstrates knowledge of Service Standards and applies them in duties.
• Collaborates with managers to prevent and resolve sanitation issues.
• Plan and coordinate sanitation projects with other departments.
• Develop and update sanitation programs, schedules, and cost-effective practices.
• Perform daily sanitation inspections and HACCP audits of production areas.
• Source equipment, tools, and supplies to improve cleanliness standards.
• Lead trainings for sanitation staff and ensure compliance with health regulations.
• Manage staff scheduling, timekeeping, and performance evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with MSDS handling and hazardous material policies.
