Job summary

McCall Farms, Inc. is seeking a Quality Control Technician to monitor and verify food safety and quality systems across production.

You will perform inspections, run tests, review documentation, and verify processes to ensure product safety and regulatory compliance at Effingham, SC. You will document results, report issues, place holds when needed, and participate in GMP and allergen control programs under SQF and HACCP guidelines.

Qualifications

• Experience with SQF, HACCP, allergen control & GMPs.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operating procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality and food safety checks and document results accurately.
• Inspect and conduct testing and records results as required, including visual seam & fill weight, raw product evaluations, and thermometer calibration.
• Monitor compliance with SQF, HACCP, allergen control & GMPs.
• Identify and report food safety or quality issues.
• Place product on hold when required and notify quality management.
• Conduct GMP inspections.
• Other duties may be assigned to support the Quality Department.
