Job summary

General Mills is seeking a Food Safety & Quality Associate to join a front-line, factory-based rotational program across multiple manufacturing locations in the United States. You will gain hands-on experience in evaluating safety and quality systems, collecting and interpreting data, and addressing risk with root-cause analysis.

As a candidate, you’ll work with mentors and peers across R&D, Operations, Engineering and Maintenance, developing leadership and technical skills for future roles

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Engineering (Chemical / Food Process / Biological), or related degree.
• Strong academic record and ability to apply technical knowledge to manufacturing.
• Learning agility, curiosity and inventiveness are key in Food Safety & Quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety and quality strategy and mitigate risk in manufacturing.
• Collaborate with R&D, Operations, Engineering and Maintenance to validate controls.
• Collect, analyze and interpret data to drive process improvements in quality.
• Provide coaching and leadership to operators and technicians on the floor.
• Engage with external regulators and auditors as needed.
