Job summary

General Mills Buffalo Plant is seeking a Food Safety and Quality Analyst to perform analytical testing, interpret GMPs and HACCP procedures, and support plant safety and quality goals. You will work on data entry, product release, and trouble-shooting to maintain high standards.

The role requires a high school diploma, 1+ year QA/testing experience, and strong statistical and teamwork skills in a rotating day shift with weekend coverage.

• 1+ years of Quality Assurance/Control laboratory/analytical testing experience or related experience.

Responsibilities

• Complete analytical testing of ingredients, packaging and finished products.
• Enter data into a computer-based information system.
• Approve product against product specifications.
• Troubleshoot out of specification product, handle hold orders and make sound risk decisions.
• Partner with team leaders and operators to evaluate food safety and quality risks, influence appropriate decisions and support plant productivity.
• Complete IRM program activities and SPC control charting and analysis.
• Have intermediate knowledge of instrumentation and troubleshooting.
• Lead start-up, changeover and bulk pack inspections and other sanitation accountabilities.
• Lead designated quality programs such as retain management, COA management, bulk pack formula auditing and packaging label verification.
