General Mills, Geneva Plant in Geneva, IL, seeks a Food Safety & Quality Technician to support lab testing, audits, and quality controls on 12-hour shifts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role involves GMP, sampling, data entry, and coordination with operations to ensure product safety and quality; overtime and weekend coverage are required as part of rotating schedules.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Able to work 12 hour shifts and overtime.
• Strong self-motivation with ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects while performing daily tasks.
• Commitment to food safety & quality.
• Experience compiling, retrieving data and reporting results in GMI standard data collection systems.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft applications including Excel, Access, Word, and Outlook.

Mansioni

• Perform and support operations technician in testing Vitamin C, pH, Brix, Water activity, Gilmont leak, sanitizer titration and any additional lab testing.
• Conduct Daily GMP and Process Audits in production and storage areas of the plant.
• Respond to calls from operations regarding potential food safety & quality issues and provide input and decision to continue run or place product on hold.
• Place out of specification product on hold in the system and perform counts of hold product.
• Investigate out of spec material as needed.
• Collect retention samples and maintain retention area in Quality Main lab.
• Perform data entry into the various Quality System databases.
• Review on-line HACCP log sheets and various quality & sanitation related documents to assure compliance.
